TR Demos

7 levels

Files required to run fan-made levels.
All these demos (except TR-1) should work without problems on Windows 95, Windows 98 (SE) and Windows XP SP2.
A detailed guide to installing fan-made levels can be found in the Tutorials section.

However, for playing fan-made TR-4 levels, I recommend obtaining the original TRLE Editor, if possible. One reason is that it includes all the music files. Most fan-made levels use them, even when some music files are included with the level. You can download the full version of the original editor in the Download section.

You have probably noticed that there are two bases for TR-4: one marked (TRLE) and the other (TLR). What is the difference? It is simple. After the TRLE editor was released, a new, slightly modified game engine was created specifically for playing levels made in this editor. This means that the vast majority of fan-made levels available for download are intended for the (TRLE) base. Recently, however, levels intended for the original (TLR) game engine have also appeared, and these would not work with the TRLE engine. I therefore added a base for them as well. Every level on this website now states which game and engine it is intended for.

Tomb Raider 2 (beta)

DOWNLOAD Size 10MB

Here is one pearl. Beta version of TR-2. This is a demo and you can play 2 levels. For those who are involved in creating their own levels, it will certainly be interesting in what format the levels are in. They have the ending *.phd, which is a remnant of TR-1. The demonstration mode that this version contains is also very interesting. Unfortunately, these levels cannot be loaded into any editing tool, so it is practically impossible to experiment with them.
