Website redesign and new features

The DXTre3D Editor website has been completely redesigned. The original content has been preserved, but the site now has a more modern look, better readability and a responsive layout suitable for phones and tablets.

The content has been split into separate sections and subpages to make the larger parts of the website easier to navigate. A full-site search and a dedicated level database filter have been added. The Download, About, Tutorials, Links, Support and Levels sections were rebuilt into a clearer structure.

The biggest change is the level database. Each level now has a card with images, description, parameters, walkthrough links and a gallery locked to that specific level. Missing texts were restored, broken links were removed or corrected, and images that no longer worked on their original paths were moved or completed.

The website is now prepared as a bilingual Czech and English version, with automatic language selection based on the browser and a manual language switch. Cookie settings and a new website icon have also been added.

Website moved and renamed

Dear friends of the former Sakul Raider website, I would like to announce that Sakul Raider has changed its name to DXTre3D Editor and has also moved to the new address www.dxtre3d.sakul.cz. The www.sakulraider.cz domain will be cancelled after its expiration.

This is a reaction to the almost non-existent activity of fans. To avoid closing the website completely, which would certainly be a shame, I decided to move it under my main site Sakul World. In practice nothing changes and everything remains as before. The only additional change concerns the forum, which will also become part of the central forum on Sakul World.

Forum and chat are back online

After several exhausting days I have finally tuned and moved the forum, which should improve response time and overall speed. During the move I also upgraded it to phpBB3, the current version at the time. You will surely find many improvements yourselves.

I have also restored the chat, which had not worked here for quite some time. Its colours match the forum a little, so hopefully you will like it. It is simpler than the previous one and does not require registration, so it is very quick to use. For arranging things, it should be a welcome help for beginning authors.

The last new item is the option to support the operation of this website. There is a PayPal payment button at the top of the left menu. After clicking it, you can choose the amount you want to contribute. If you want to contribute by another method, just contact me and we will arrange it. The collected amount will be used to pay for the domain and hosting. Running this website costs 1500 CZK per year.

Celtic Ruins is finished!

And here it is. Celtic Ruins is finished and you can finally play it. We hope you will like it despite the fact that the final version is much shorter than the original plan.

The whole CSP Team is looking forward to your feedback. You can download it from the Celtic Ruins homepage. Sakul wishes you pleasant gameplay on behalf of the CSP Team.

Looking for a collaborator

You have surely noticed that updates have recently become less frequent. Unfortunately I am quite busy, mainly with Celtic Ruins and many other things, so there is not much time left for the website. That is why I would appreciate help with running it.

First of all, the collaborator would supervise the forum as a moderator. This includes daily forum checks, correcting posts and developing interesting discussions.

I also need help with the website itself. You do not need to know anything about website administration or creation; I will handle that myself. I need help preparing files, writing tutorials, searching the internet for new tools and doing other small tasks. The time required would be around 5-10 minutes a day on average, which I think is not much and can be managed easily.

Restoring activity in parts of the website

Several changes have recently been made on this website. The main change is the new discussion forum, which is part of the whole portal. Unfortunately, during the update, the databases of both the old forum and chat were irreversibly damaged. The new forum therefore starts from the beginning and you need to register again if you have not already done so.

The chat has also finally been restored, but it also requires a new registration. I believe the new forum will last a long time and I would rather not interfere with it too much.

Another new feature on this website is a Google search box. Just enter a search term and searching can begin. It is useful mainly for users who are too lazy to search manually. This way they can search directly from this website.

There is also advertising displayed at the bottom of the left column. This advertising is a necessary evil for running these pages. Everyone understands that operating the website costs money, so it needs to earn something for its operation.

Shadows of Eternity is finished!

You surely all know that for quite some time we have been working on Shadows of Eternity, a game based on the TR-4 TRLE engine. The game is finally finished, so you can download it in the Levels / Custom levels section or visit its official homepage directly.

Here is a short sample from the game. More samples in better quality can be found on the official website.

Correct website functionality

For the pages to work correctly, your screen resolution needs to be set to 1024x768 or higher. JavaScript also needs to be enabled in your browser. If you use a browser other than MS Internet Explorer, I will be glad if you tell me how these pages display in your browser. If there are problems, I will try to solve them and tune the pages so that they work in as many browsers as possible. For now, if you have problems, use MS Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher.
