Editing tools

This section contains quite a lot of helper programs needed for creating your own levels at a slightly higher level. They can be used to edit objects, textures, scripts and many other things. There are also programs for creating and editing animations, or for creating your own objects.

3D Tomb Raider Viewer - Version 1.1

This program will be very useful if you want to view a compiled level. Again, it is a counterpart to the TRLE preview.

TR CDaudio Player Version 2.0

Floor Edit 3.1

This program can make small changes to an already compiled level, or simply inspect it.

Scripter4 2.0.0 RC2

An excellent program for editing scripts for TR-4 or TR-5. It loads DAT files directly, so they do not need to be decompiled before editing. It is also the only program that fully handles the TR-5 script.

TR2Prj vers. 2.24

This program can create a TRLE editor project from a finished level. It is a counterpart to TrePhoenix, which is intended for the DXTre3D editor.

TR2WAD v 1.7 Revision 2

Another program suitable as an add-on for the TRLE editor. With this program you can convert a finished level into WAD files. It supports all engines, so it is no problem to extract objects from TR-3 and use them in your TR-4 TRLE level. Usually, however, it is mainly used to extract WAD files for use in WadMerger.

SFX Manager v11

One of the best programs for editing SFX sounds in TR-4 TRLE levels. If you combine objects for your level in WadMerger, it is then necessary to redefine the SFX sounds with this program so that everything works correctly.

TRsound 1.0 built 266

This program is intended for editing the Main.sfx file, which contains SFX sounds from TR-2 and TR-3.

TREdit Sound 1.0

Another program for editing SFX sounds for TR-2 and TR-3. Nevertheless, it can also handle sounds for TR-1.

TRLE SFX Edit

In this program you can edit SFX sounds in a TR-4 TRLE level. It is actually a program similar to SFX Manager v11.
